“365 Boxes:” Day 45

by | Feb 14, 2023 | "365 Boxes"

It was a long, elongated box propped up in a corner of the garage, right next to the old badminton net that I really do need to throw away. I thought at first the box was empty — but in retrospect, it should have been obvious what was in it.

Box 45: Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023

CONTENTS: Posters, collected by the younger daughter over time. The collection includes a handful of “Harry Potter” posters, mostly from “Deathly Hallows,” along with a fun “Doctor Who” poster, something from one of the “Hunger Games” movies — and even a “Bazinga!” poster from “The Big Bang Theory.” It all brings me back to my old dorm rooms, where I proudly displayed posters from movies, including “Citizen Kane” and “Body Heat.” Did I also have a poster of Lynda Carter on the wall? Why, I just can’t seem to remember.

DISPOSITION: The younger daughter just moved into a larger apartment, so we’ll ask her if she wants any of these. If not, we’ll donate them. The box itself, with its odd shape, might be useful at some point, so I might move the box to the attic.

If you’re coming late to the whole “365 Boxes” project, here’s the blog post that got it all rolling.
