Tuesday’s box (again, not a box) is a typically odd collection of stuff.

Box 53: Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2023
CONTENTS: Instead of a box, this is a bright green plastic bin. Here’s a sampling of what’s in it: “The Book of the Cat,” a good reference book. What appears to be a carrying case for stickers, presumably belonging to one of the daughters. Two rolls of movie film — a family heirloom from somewhere? Instructions for a Nintendo Game Cube and a memory card. Empty frames. A heart-shaped rock that I probably picked up during a church service years ago. A framed picture of two cats, a tabby in a suit and a white cat in a dress, sitting on a couch together; they are, presumably, Mr. and Mrs. Cat. You will be shocked to learn that they don’t appear to be happy, and maybe “The Book of the Cat” can explain why.
DISPOSITION: The frames and the carrying case will be donated. The Game Cube belonged to the younger daughter; it’s possible she might have it and can use the memory card; probably not, in which case, it’s probably headed to the garbage. I might swing by Dan Wise’s photo shop downtown to see what he can do with the film. We’ll keep “The Book of the Cat.” We might also hang onto the photo of Mr. and Mrs. Cat. The heart-shaped rock will fit in with the other rocks on display on the back deck. Diane says the green bin will be useful for her work. So, really, today is only a partial success, but I’ll take it.
