After yesterday’s disappointing assessment of the first month’s progress, it’s time to get back on task. But maybe not with a particularly tough box.

Box 32: Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023
CONTENTS: This box contains mostly photos that sat on the younger daughter’s desk in Corvallis — and might have followed her to Pullman during her four years there, but we’re not certain about that. The photos depict the younger daughter with friends and her sister — not to mention a solo shot of the handsome (but a little dense) tabby who is sitting directly to my right as I write this. The box also has a wooden “Lucky” sign, which I’m guessing she might have picked up during a study-abroad session in Ireland. Finally, the box contains what appears to be a white headband for a pair of Sol Republic headphones, a gift from long ago. (Now, of course, she uses AirPods.)
DISPOSITION: Well, of course, we’re not going to throw away the photos — but if the younger daughter doesn’t want them, we will store them in scrapbooks and donate most of the frames. I’m tempted to just mail her the sign — or sneak it into her luggage the next time she visits Corvallis. I can’t think of a use for the headband, so that’s going into the trash, unless you know someone who really wants a white headband for their Sol Republic headphones. No charge! The box will be broken down and recycled.

Nice to find pictures, but wait till the foto albums show up. That can slow things down for an afternoon.
